Paul Bayes

Paul Bayes was announced as the eighth Bishop of Liverpool in May 2014. He has been the Suffragan Bishop of Hertford since 2010, and prior to that, the Church of England's National Mission and Evangelism Adviser, travelling all over the country, seeking to help the Church make sense of proclaiming the Christian message to a rapidly-changing English society. Paul brought to this role 30 years' experience of parish and Chaplaincy ministry. He has also been one of the driving forces behind the Church of England's Weddings Project, which promotes weddings in church as a really positive choice for couples.
