An inspirational book of true-life feats of bravery and personal risk told by Lisa Potts, heroine of a 1997 machete attack in a school playground. Lisa interviews men and women who have risked their lives to save others and also tells of the effects of fame on ordinary people.

Lisa Potts

Lisa Potts has received much deserved publicity because of her bravery in shielding the infants in her care from the attacks of a man with a machete in the school playground in Wolverhampton where she was employed as a nursery nurse. She has been given many awards including the Sunshine Award, sponsored by the Sun newspaper, the Daily Star Gold Award, the Silver Cross for Gallantry, and she was short listed for the BBC Personality of the Year and the BBC Woman of the Year. In 1997 she was awarded the George Medal.
