To pray 'Give me this mountain' is to stand alongside the Old Testament figure Caleb, a man of great faith in a great God. At the age of forty, he claimed a mountainous part of the promised land of Canaan. At the age of eighty-five, his prayer was answered. To pray 'Give me this mountain' is to dream the impossible dream, to reach higher and go further than we have ever gone before. It is to trust more deeply in the God who declares he can do in us 'immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine' (Eph 3:20).
