A Heritage in Crisis investigates the "identity crisis" that afflicts the Churches of Christ as a result of their unique religious tradition. Within the Churches of Christ, there is growing disagreement concerning the direction that the Restoration Movement should take. After a brief introduction to the background of the crisis, the book evaluated specific issues that threaten to divide the Churches of Christ today, such as worship forms and women's roles. This study will illustrate the dire straits of the Churches of Christ, while providing the reader with a comprehensive view of the restoration tradition.
