The teachings of St Benedict are not addressed to the individual, but to the entire monastic family. He wants to teach us how to live wisely and in a Christian manner. The Rule of St Benedict is also helpful to families to live together wisely, happily and peaceably in a Christian manner. If every member of the family would read and practice the Rule of St Benedict, Family life would become more meaningful and happy and bring about a silent revolution in the world.
