Jim Cullen teaches in the Expository Writing Program at Harvard University and is the author of a number of books, including The Civil War in Popular Culture: A Reusable Past and Born in the U.S.A.: Bruce Springsteen and the American Tradition. His articles and essays have appeared in many journals and magazines, including Rolling Stone and Newsday.
