Dr Rowan Williams, 35th Master of Magdalene College and Honorary Professor of Contemporary Christian Thought in the University of Cambridge. Previously Bishop of Monmouth and from 2000, Archbishop of Wales. In 2002, he became the 104th Archbishop of Canterbury.

Dr Williams is a noted poet and translator of poetry. He is also the author of some thirty books. His writings cover a wide range of theological, historical and political themes, including studies of Arius, Teresa of Avila, and Sergii Bulgakov.
