First published in the 1950's, The Cross of Christ has been a firm favourite for use at Passiontide ever since.

This revised edition has been skillfully updated by Peter Moger using Common Worship prayers and responses, but with the same format and readings as the original. An alternative set of readings, based on John's Passion narrative, gives a fresh perspective.

The selection of music that has moved generations of church-goers remains the same, although re-set to enable a clearer score, so the music is fully compatible with the previous edition. Alternative hymns have been provided in the appendix for those wishing to freshen the devotion with new material.
