I've ordered a book online - where is it?
Orders placed on this website are sent by either Church House Bookshop in London or by Norwich Books and Music. If a book is in stock it will be dispatched within 1-2 working days. For items not in stock please allow up to 10 working days. Print on demand books will take 1-3 working weeks to arrive.
Parcels up to 2kg are normally sent by Royal Mail First Class. Larger parcels are sent via FedEx and should arrive within 1-2 working days.
Most parcels are sent by regular Airmail. Please allow at least 2-5 working days.

Can I pay by cheque?
The quickest way to place your order is on our website, using a credit or debit card.
Should you prefer to pay by cheque, you will need to place your order via the post. Simply send details of the books you want to order, together with the delivery details for your order and the cheque (made payable to Church House Bookshop) to:

I want to change or cancel my order - who do I contact?

If your order has already been dispatched we will tell you the best way to return it. You can return items for any reason within 14 days of receiving them. A refund for the price of the books (not postage) will be credited to your payment card once we receive these.
Please do not return books without contacting us first. There is no way of returning purchased eBooks or software which has already been downloaded so we are not able to issue a refund for these unless they are faulty.Back to top

I am outside the UK - will there be extra charges for my delivery?
Within the EU (and sometimes elsewhere), additional customs charges and VAT are possible, but these will vary by country and by item. Depending on these criteria, it is also possible some orders may attract no additional charges at all. Please note that the responsibility to settle any excess charges will be with the recipient. We have no control over these charges and we have worked hard to supply comprehensive delivery documentation, allowing customs departments to validate that shipment. We recommend that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order. What are the postage and packing costs?
Our delivery charges are based on the total value of the goods in your order (excluding subscriptions, ebooks and other downloads) and where in the world you would like them sent.
When you choose your delivery address (step 2 of the checkout) the relevant delivery charge will be added to your order total automatically.
We may need to split your order into more than one package (but you will only be charged once for postage).

Why has my credit/debit card been rejected?
There are a few different reasons why this might have happened. Most common is a slight mistake in the card details entered - please double check your card number and make sure you have entered the correct CVV number (the last three digits of the number printed on the back of your card).
You card may have been rejected because the billing address entered did not match the address held by your bank. Go back to step 3 and add your card details again. Make sure all the relevant address fields are completed and that the address is the same as the one on your bank statements.
If a saved payment card has expired please use the 'add card' function to re-enter the details with an updated expiry date. You can delete old cards by using the 'remove' button on step 3 of the checkout.Back to top
